General Information on the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK)

The Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) was enacted to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, especially the right to privacy, in the processing of personal data, and to set out the obligations of natural and legal persons who process such data.

In accordance with KVKK, STARMAX DESIGN YAPI MALZEMELERI TICARET LIMITED ŞIRKETI, located at MEHMET AKİF ERSOY MAH. 2133. SK. NO: 31-33, İÇ KAPI NO: 13, ESENYURT/ISTANBUL, acting as the Data Controller, provides the following disclosure regarding the collection, processing, and protection of your personal data, within the scope of Article 10 of the KVKK.

Purposes and Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Data

Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, phone number, email address, and IP address.

Your personal data may be processed by STARMAX through automatic or non-automatic methods, provided that it is part of a data recording system, in accordance with the principles set forth in Article 4 of KVKK and for the following purposes:

• To fulfill obligations related to sales, delivery, and invoicing of products,

• To manage customer relations and provide after-sales support,

• To send promotional and marketing communications, subject to your consent,

• To respond to your questions, requests, or complaints,

• To maintain business continuity and improve services.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the following principles:

• Lawfulness and fairness,

• Being accurate and up to date where necessary,

• Processing for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes,

• Being relevant, limited, and proportionate to the purpose,

• Retention for the period required by applicable laws or for the intended purposes.

Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be shared with:

• Public institutions and authorities when legally required (e.g., tax office, regulatory bodies),

• Business partners and service providers (e.g., logistics, IT, accounting),

• Banks and payment institutions for transaction purposes,

• Legal and financial advisors, within the framework of confidentiality agreements.

If necessary, and in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of KVKK, your data may also be transferred abroad, provided adequate protection is ensured.

Retention and Deletion of Personal Data

In accordance with Article 7 of KVKK and Article 138 of the Turkish Penal Code, when the reasons requiring the processing of your personal data no longer exist, your data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized by STARMAX, either ex officio or upon your request.

Rights of the Data Subject

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• To learn whether your personal data is being processed,

• To request information if your personal data has been processed,

• To learn the purpose of the processing and whether it is used accordingly,

• To know the third parties to whom your data is transferred domestically or abroad,

• To request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data,

• To request the deletion or destruction of personal data,

• To request notification of the correction or deletion to third parties,

• To object to any result against you arising from automated processing,

• To request compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing.
